Hi, I’m Autumn!

I have a passion for wellness stemmed from lifelong support in movement, good food, and pursuing passions. I’m a licensed medical/manual massage therapist, certified holistic health practitioner, level 1 GYROKINESIS® & GYROTONIC® trainer, and personal trainer.

I believe that humans are, firstly, spiritual beings that MUST have balance in our bodies in order to achieve good wellness. Too often in our world, outside responsibilities steamroll our own health. My mission is to help shepherd individuals along their path of healing, to create a better you!

what I do

What is medical/manual therapy & its benefits?

Massage therapy is commonly an underdog in the medical treatment realm, but is becoming increasingly respected as a healing modality. Massage increases circulation, stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system (“rest & digest” rather than sympathetic “fight or flight”), eases chronic pain and so much more!

During a massage, I might use modalities such as hot or cold therapy in the way or ice or a hot pack, red light, mechanical stimulus, or liniments that have cooling, warming, aromatherapy, or topical CBD effects that will aid in active pain.

What are the GYROKINESIS® & GYROTONIC® methods?

A stimulating movement method that emphasizes use of breath, expanding range of motion, and reconnecting mind & body. Practicing on trainer-provided stools and mats for a Gyrokinesis class, and a pully tower combination unit for a Gyrotonic session, offer a variation of body awareness when we work through a series of Level 1 formats, which accommodates every body and results in holistic balance.

MY APPROACH

From what I was taught, I firstly do no harm. The phrase “no pain, no gain” isn’t one I’d use to describe my treatment methods, instead, never going past a “hurt so good” and never working through active pain.

What is a Holistic Health Practitioner?

Holistic health practitioners are essentially coaches for health and lifestyle. Having growing experience in nutrition, herbology, and movement, I feel comfortable lending advice to someone who doesn’t know where to start when it comes to those things, or someone wanting to check back in with themselves. It might look like keeping record of what you’re consuming, activity levels, responsibilities, and then reevaluating in order to try another, more helpful approach to your current lifestyle.

What’s your style of personal training?

Going off my experience and expertise, I am most familiar with how women's bodies in particular function and heal, and people who might not be sure on where to start on their fitness journey. I teach proper form of workouts people can take home, and offer verbal encouragement through challenging exercises with or without attainable equipment. I value your growth and relationship with movement over numbered goals.
